Under the Act to assist persons who are victims of criminal offences and to facilitate their recovery (LAPVIC), the Minister of Justice is responsible for the application of the Act and its financial assistance component. IVAC's mission is to help victims of criminal offences gain access to the financial assistance to which they are entitled, in order to help them recover and get on with their lives.
